Some sort of red flower

Found this on my walk to the coffee shop.
Dandy lions
I was trying to get a good shot of the little dandelion parachute and seed being blown from the stem, but every time I would move my face from behind the camera to blow, I would either point the camera in the wrong direction or the photo would go out of focus. So this shot is sub-par, but I’ll try it again sometime soon. I guess that sometimes you just need two people to make good photos!
Bridal shower invites!
If you know my wife and the schedule she endures being a medical resident, you might ask yourself, “I wonder what she does on her few hours off between 30 hour shifts. Does she relax by the pool? Maybe get a massage? Veg out in front of the TV?” No, friends, what my sweet wife does in her few hours off between taking care of people in the intensive care unit is hand-make bridal shower invitations for her sister’s wedding. What can I say? I married an angel. (A couple more photos by clicking below)
Brand new ACL
So in case you haven’t heard, I had surgery today to fix my ACL that was completely blown apart in a recent snowboarding mishap. This image is my brand new one – making me super-human, I’m pretty sure. They took a piece of my hamstring and combined it with a cadaver graft. I’m just hoping the graft was from someone like Michael Johnson. (For the record, Michael Johnson is still alive and well as far as I know). So I’m afraid that my photo of the day for the next couple of weeks is going to be significantly less exciting, considering I’ll be on crutches and in the apartment most of the time.

The Foot Reflective Zones
So the other day Kaitlin got a somewhat sketchy but definitely cheap massage in the “Little Vietnam” area of Denver. I found this little card about the foot pressure zones on the desk and am assuming it came home from there with her. A little bit of masking tape, the brick wall outside for a backdrop, and voila: Photo of the day.
Tomato seeds
So when your day consists of working for 11 hours and then cooking dinner, this is the photo you end up with. I was chopping up some tomatoes for salsa and thought these tomato seeds looked kind of neat (they were tasty, too). Turns out, though, that gelatinous tomato seed goo is hard to focus on, especially when you’re shooting at 1.8 in a not-so-bright kitchen.
